Caesarea

The ancient city of Caesarea, founded by Herodot later used as harbor for the crusaders which connected the Orient with Europe.

my room

Ok, probably everyone reading this blog was thinking about how I live when I'm not travelling the country. Therefor I want to show you my room. It's small, but that's ok, it's unbearable hot and sticky which is not ok. Ok I think this is already enough info for today :)

Dangerous shoes

Quelle: http://www.spiegel.de/reise/aktuell/0,1518,571833,00.html

Akko

30 minutes by train from Haifa up north you will reach the ancient city of Akko. Very interesting old city with narrow alleys, 7 mosques a lighthouse and of course falafel shops. A little man called
Napoleon used to be here as well. Now it was me who was there, I felt a little bit like Napoleon, just bigger :)

Tel Aviv

YEAH, Tel Aviv we are coming. Meanwhile the group of exchange students has increased quite a bit. Students from Germany, Poland, Italy, Turkey and Serbia are now in Israel. After walking through Tel Aviv more miles than Jesus did in his whole life we finally arrive at the beach. Next stop is the old jaffa hostel where we sleep on the roof, you read right, on the roof - but it's better than you would guess. In the evening we went to a bar and drank some beers, some vodka, and so on...

The Beach

Arriving at the Technion Campus I meet with the student organisator and get my room (pictures will follow). Then I met other exchange students, Adrian from Poland and Ilaria from Italy, together we were looking for the beach.

Finally, after travelling all the time we arrived at the beach of Haifa. Not too crowded, nice fine sand and wonderful clear water - NICE!

Next thing we are about to see will be the city of Tel Aviv.

The Arrival

Ok, I didn't really make any pictures at the arrival  - so there will be nothing to see :( but don't worry, the first trip to the beach will come up soon. So far...
